Under the ownership of John & Maggie Roberts the hotel has won numerous awards and accolades including Gold & Silver awards for quality, Outstanding Quality Award and most recently finalist in HRS hotels 2008 awards for Excellence. Renowned for very high quality of food and service, the hotel is in reality a restaurant with rooms with owners taking great pride in establishing the hotel as one of the finest in the area.
